I知 happy with the valuation, and I would like to go ahead with ordering the vehicle. However, I知 worried that you may want to decrease the valuation when you view it due to things I might have missed!

The main causes for concern would be if a vehicle requires a panel(s) to be painted\replaced, excessively worn\illegal tyres, cracked windscreens, excessive stone chipping, mechanical defects, excessive wear\tearing of the interior trim. It is rare that we have to decrease a valuation, and we are realistic to what condition is expected from vehicles of a certain age.

What deposit do you require?

We would need a 」400 deposit either by credit card or debit card.

Is the deposit refundable?

We can only refund your deposit if the vehicle you are purchasing is not to the condition described by ourselves. We would ask you to only put a deposit on a vehicle once you are happy with all aspects of the deal, and it is then only a matter of viewing the vehicle. We can assure you that we would never knowingly get any customer to travel to us to collect a vehicle that isn稚 to the condition described. If a deposit does have to be refunded, then this would be done immediately.

I want the vehicle to be delivered to me, can this be arranged and how much would it cost?

Delivery can be arranged by using a transporter. The charge would be 」1.00 + vat per mile plus an extra 50p + vat if you have a part exchange that needs to be transported back to us.

If I have the vehicle delivered to me, can you also collect my part exchange?

Yes, this can be organised.

I want to finance a proportion of the vehicle, can you organise this for us?
Yes, we offer finance through Capital Bank Plc, who are part of the Bank of Scotland. You can finance your vehicle via Hire Purchase or PCP.

I want to take your finance out on my new vehicle, but I want the vehicle to be delivered to me. What do I do about signing the agreement?

If your new vehicle is being delivered to you and you are unable to sign the documents on our premises, we would require you to sign a 'cancellable agreement'. This agreement is exactly the same as any normal regulated document apart from it entitles you to a 14 day 'cooling off' period. You are entitled to cancel the agreement at any time within this time period of time. If this style of agreement is used, we would not be able to release any vehicle until the 14 days from signing the documents has elapsed.

I have a private number on my existing vehicle. Can you organise for this to be transferred to my new vehicle?

What do I do about obtaining road fund licence for my new vehicle?

We will organise obtaining road fund licence for your new vehicle, although the cost of the road fund licence would be chargeable to you. In order to get your road fund licence we will require an insurance certificate that is applicable to your new vehicle. For ease, there is a 7-day FREE insurance policy available through Ford Insure, which we ask all our customers to take advantage of in order to ease the process both for you the customer and ourselves. Will my new vehicle be serviced prior to collection?

Although the majority of our used vehicles are part of the Ford Direct program, and have been inspected independently by the RAC, we will still carry out a full inspection within our workshop. If a vehicle is within 2000 miles or 1 month of its service schedule, then we will make sure that the scheduled service is carried out prior to collection.

Are your used cars checked by HPI?

Yes. All our vehicles are checked, and will be supplied with an HPI certificate.

I live a long way from your dealership, and it will not be practical for me to come back to you for servicing or warranty work. What do I do?

All our used vehicles are sold with the benefit of either the balance of the manufacturers warranty, a 24 month Ford Direct warranty or a 12 month Ford Protect warranty. Any Ford Dealership can carry out manufacturers or Ford Direct warranty work for you. All warranty work covered by the Ford Protect warranty can be carried out by any VAT registered garage. Although you may not be able to get back to us for servicing or warranty work, we are always on hand to give advise and liaise with your local dealership痴 service department if necessary.

What happens once I have placed my deposit?

Once you have placed your deposit with us, you will receive an email confirming that it has been processed. You will then receive in the post a pro-forma invoice, your credit\debit card receipt and other related information. Shortly before you are due to collect your new vehicle, you will be contacted by our sales administration department to confirm the collection\delivery time and to ensure that you have organised your insurance cover note.

How do I make final payment?

If you are collecting your new vehicle, we would want payment by a debit card or bankers draft at the time of collection. We would also accept payment by a bank transfer, but we would need this to be in our account 24 hours prior to delivery during week days and on a Friday if you were to collect during a weekend. Credit cards can be accepted, but there would be 1.5% surcharge for using this method.
