Bluetooth technology is a wireless radio link. It can connect many types
of digital devices within a 10-meter range of each other, without a
single cable in sight. The Bluetooth and Voice Control System offers
safe and convenient hands-free operation without the need of a handset.
Each of the three systems - Basic, Advanced
and Premium - are compatible with a wide range of mobile phones.
Interchangeable holders mean users don't
have to change their hands-free system every time they change their
phone, whilst the Advanced and Premium kits additional Voice Control
System take driving comfort and safety to the next level, ensuring the
driver keeps their eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel.

available in three different levels and operates using the owners own
Bluetooth compatible mobile phone: |
Basic System.
The Basic system
is a traditional hands-free solution with the added benefit of not
requiring a headset to be worn. The Bluetooth phone is placed into a
holder, which in turn fits into a fixed cradle on the centre console.
The cradle provides a battery charge-up facility, external antenna and
enables access to the phonebook via the in car audio.
Advanced
System.
The Advanced
system has Bluetooth and Voice Control technology. It does not use a
cradle, instead the phone is detected by an integrated Bluetooth unit
and can be operated by voice control or by dialling on the stereo system
The Voice Control
System is activated via the steering column stalk, whilst a microphone
housed in the roof lining detects voice commands. With this system,
users have voice control of their phone, CD, radio, Satellite Navigation
and climate control. The voice input is completely independent, which
means that the user does not have to 'train' the system to recognise
them. You can even record voice tags for favourite numbers, store radio
stations or even Satellite Navigation commands.

Premium System.
The Premium system combines the functions of the Basic and Advanced
systems with the added benefit of voice control over the phonebook
access, charging and international standardised Bluetooth interface. As
with the Advanced system users have voice control over their phone, CD,
radio, Satellite Navigation and climate control. With the optional DVD
touch screen Satellite Navigation system, it is also possible to read,
create and send text messages to another mobile device.
The availability of Bluetooth and Voice
Control System clearly demonstrates Ford's commitment to making the
