whilst checking to see if I could improve on the price of a Focus
ST3 offered by my local dealership in Essex. With several thousand
pounds saved, and just four days later, I was delighted to collect a
stunning ST3 from you – which has proved to be a really superb
choice.
Mark deserves a special
thank you – on the day prior to collection, and after rushing
through the paperwork and preparing the car with Eibach lowering
springs, a small 'bird dropping' offence was discovered on the roof
during valeting. Not meeting the required Archers standard, the car
was replaced with an identical model, registered and prepared within
a day – and was ready for collection only a few hours later than
planned. The handover process was friendly and efficient (thank you
Beverley) – and the service team (thank you Trevor and staff) were
even willing to install an impromptu (and very worthwhile) Magnex
exhaust system that I'd spotted at the last minute, on a Friday,
just before closing time.
I've purchased a number
of new cars over the years, from Ford, Vauxhall, BMW, Volvo and Land
Rover, but the Archers experience has to be the most complete and
customer focussed to date – thank you very much indeed.

Mondeo Ghia X Estate - with lots of toys!) and once

For us, buying a Ford
Direct car makes a lot of sense - and the best place
to buy is Archers. For a start, you actually have
the cars - they are not just images and text on a
computer screen - and there are various high-specs
to choose from, including "all the toys one could
want" versions. Then you and your staff make the
whole buying experience relaxed and friendly and yet
informative. It is wonderful to be able to have as
long a test drive as we want - in the actual car and
without any high-pressure sales hype. The cars are
keenly priced and you always offer a very fair trade
in price - none of that pseudo haggling - I just
can't tell you what a difference that makes. All
round, a very comfortable buying experience - which
is why we keep buying.
A word of praise is due
to Hannah Garner. I know she is relatively new but
she has already picked up the "Archers way".
More praise is due to
the valeters - the car was prepared to an immaculate
standard - as good as, if not better than, any brand
new car we have bought.
Finally - the car is
great.

Just a few
words as promised. Not everyone would feel comfortable about buying a
car on the internet, from the first contact with Liam your salesman the
whole process went as sweet as a nut, when I arrived to pick up my new
ST Focus I was immediately took through to the workshop to view my new
car, the standard of presentation was the best I have seen, a pat ! on
the back for the two valaters who were hard at it on the Saturday
morning. My son in law and I were treated to a cup of tea and we then
went through the paper work with Beverly who was very charming and
easygoing, no pressure at all and a great conversationalist, although I
my self love to talk.......! All in all a very good experience, larger
main dealers beware I will gladly travel the 200mls again to purchase a
new Ford, well done to everyone at Archers, a breath of fresh air in
this take your money and forget about you/couldn't care less world.

Ashby, I have recently bought a Mondeo ST220 from yourselves and I felt
the need to offer some feedback. I am yet to find a car dealership with
such a positive and helpful out look on selling cars, you not only
offered an acceptable part exchange on my Signum but you also sold the
ST220 at a good price, and the help I received when the Signum was
dented just before I was due to exchange was second to none. Liam is a
great guy and helpful to the end. I collected the car On Saturday to
find it was immaculate, if I could find a fault and it is a very small
one, I found a little dust in between the gear lever cowl and trim (I am
Joking of course) and the whole deal only took 10 days including
cherished number plate transfer. Thanks again.

new Mondeo TDCi Estate. Archers had the one for me, I contacted Charles
Archer via e-mail & phone and always got a courteous reply. After
agreeing to hold the vehicle for me so I could view & test drive it, I
travelled 120 miles a few days later. On my arrival! I was greeted given
a cuppa & was left to view & drive the car at my leisure, I so impressed
with their 'customer comes first' attitude and Liam's knowledge of the
car range, I bought the Mondeo that day. On my return home I discovered
that I did not have the relevant Audio guide, so I contacted Charles
again (via e-mail) and the book arrived by post the next day. That's
what I call service. The 240 mile round trip was well worth it. Thanks

I have to admit to being initially sceptical re car buying on the
internet, however after the process was explained to me by Liam Hebberd
your sales advisor, i felt more at ease....i was initially drawn to your
website due to the quality of your photos and detailed description of
your cars and must say that it is a pleasure to actually see clear, high
definition photos of the actual car advertised......i paid a deposit of
£300 and was told that the car was now secured from Ford and that no one
else could buy the car....this was excellent as the model and spec that
i had managed to buy were few and far between..... i have not mentioned
that i live in Glasgow and that i had not even seen the car as it had
been sourced from Ford Direct...... all correspondence from archers was
prompt and accurate and i was kept up to date at all times with the
progress of my car....... on arrival at Archers after a 5 hour drive
from Glasgow (very early start) i was met by Liam at 11am on Sunday
morning....my car was sitting ready and was immaculate.....i was offered
a refreshment and then completed the paperwork which all went
smoothly....business was completed and i was back on the road home
within 45 minutes which i think was superb service....all in all i could
not recommend archers highly enough....very competitive trade in price
at onset of discussions competitive price of purchase vehicle and prompt
honest service.....i have now had my car 1 week and am delighted with my
choice........well done Archers, you have restored my faith in car
dealers and i will definitely consider you next time if i buy another

would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the efficient
and friendly way that my purchase of the above vehicle was
conducted. Everything was ready as promised, and you and your staff
made me feel that I, as a customer, was important to you. Yes, I
know that without customers you cannot function – but this does not
seem to matter to some car dealers – and I have visited a few in my
59 years. I jokingly said that a bird had messed over my new car –
it was gone when I came to drive away. I could not work out the
seat adjustment – the gentleman on your service desk took me through
it with a smile – and did not make me feel like the idiot that I
was. The car – wonderful – everything and more than I wanted or
expected.
My
only problem was when I had a company attend to fit a ‘Bluetooth’
hands free. Even with all their tools (and it is a National Company)
they were unable to remove the radio to fit the hands free to the
car speakers. This is not really a problem – if they cannot get it
out – neither will the villains if they smash a window and try. (my
company has a small car park – we have to move our vehicles out
before the next shift arrives – I have lost two radios in the last
five years.) A speaker for the hands free was fitted under the
glove box – and I am delighted. Again, my thanks to you and your
staff. I intend to keep the car for four years, at which point I
intend to retire. I will then have no hesitation in returning for,
what could be, my last car. I am afraid that you will not make a
fortune out of me – but I hope that your Company flourishes for many
years to come.

a regular internet user living 150 miles from Archers and have just had
a first class experience in buying unseen a low mileage Mondeo Ghia X
Auto. Two major reasons have contributed to my total satisfaction

We would just

On our initial
250 mile round trip (which took 8.5 hrs in total - due to several major
incidents on the M6 that day) can we say it was worth it, when we did
eventually arrive we found the vehicle to be exactly as described on the
internet, if not better, and Charles had the vehicle all ready for a
test drive as promised, despite us being so late in the day.
We were so
impressed with the vehicle, we realised that it wouldn't be around for
long and immediately left a deposit.
Two weeks later
and another long distance trip from Blackpool we arrived to collect our
vehicle and again everything was ready and all the staff were courteous,
made us feel welcome, made us a coffee (which was just what we needed
after our journey) and Beverley had everything ready, again as promised,
which enabled us to complete the sale with no hitches.
Thank you for
sorting out the set of car mats and arranging for the car to be all
ready and filled with petrol, so that we could head straight home, we
know that these were only very minor things - but NOT something our
local Ford dealer would have done, and it's small details like this,
that you remember and appreciate and then pass on the good word to your
friends.
Thanks to all
the team, especially Charles and Beverley, and we hope to be customers
again in the future, as traveling those extra miles was definitely worth
